Well, since everyone else is talking about politics this morning, in not an entirely positive way (in fact, not many people at all seem to be happy), I might allow myself a vaguely political leaning, though not on the election. In the current economic climate, when many businesses are struggling, it is good to see that the market for the arts is strong. I read on the BBC that a Picasso painting has become the most expensive art work ever sold at auction, for around 70 million pounds. So, whilst we may no longer value politics or politics, local businesses and produce, we still hold art to be of great value. Or, it could be argued, some people still have too much spare cash!
